The colour is taupe a shade that was typical for this kind of coat during that period. It is single breasted and fastens with a total of four buttons, allowing it to be buttoned all the way up to the neck. It features vertical front pockets, and there is a buttonhole in the lapel to secure the collar when the wind picks up.
