All metal build, multi layered lacquer and polished chrome trim. Cap is easy to remove, but fits back onto the pen with a nicely cushioned click. Cap band is inscribed with 'Diplomat since 1922' and 'made in Germany'. Sprung pocket clip in polished chrome. Stainless steel nib is superbly smooth. Dimensions: 138mm long closed, 130mm open, 155mm posted, 13mm diameter, weighs 46g.
